AI For Kentucky Educators Group Discussion Board

Purpose 

• Share AI, Google, and other tech-related resources, news, and information

• Ask questions

• Inform others of upcoming events, conferences, and professional development opportunities

• Connect with other AI, Google and other tech-using educators in and around Kentucky

Access

The AI for Kentucky Educators Group maintains a Google Group email distribution list to serve as a discussion tool for everyone - not just Kentucky educators!

To join the email/discussion group:

• Go to the AI for Kentucky Educators Google Group forum page at: https://groups.google.com/g/ai-for-ky-educators-discussion or click the "Join our Community! button above then follow the directions listed below: 

• Click the button labeled "Ask to join group".  You will then see a pop-up message asking the following: 

  • "Link to my Google Account Profile" - By linking, your Google Account profile (including your name and profile picture) becomes visible to other members of the group. This helps members identify each other within the group, especially if it’s a discussion-based group.

  • "Subscription" (This will be a drop-down menu with the following):

    • Each Email - select if  wish to receive an individual email for every post in the group.  (This is best if you want real-time updates)

    • Digest - select if you wish to receive a single email each day that summarizes the group's activity.  (This is best if prefer fewer emails but stay informed)

    • Abridged - select if wish to receive a single email that includes only the subject lines of recent posts)  (Best if you want to only quickly scan topics)

    • No email - select if you wish to only check-in occasionally on the site.  This is not typically recommended because it becomes difficult to locate the topic you are interested in.

How to use

• Once you have joined the AI for Kentucky Educators Google Group, you can send and receive emails with questions, suggestions, and discussions on any technology-related topic. 

  • Please include a clear, concise description in the subject line of your email to help group members quickly identify and respond to topics of interest.
